Taking place in Parker, Arizona, along the Colorado River's desert oasis, the BlueWater Desert Challenge is a racer’s favorite. 16 cars entered and finished 4 laps around the 23-mile course that featured wide-open sandy trails ripping through a varietal of terrain and elevation.

McMullen finished out the season in dominating fashion. Just for starters, Conner qualified the #1020 Alumi Craft on top, won the race on Saturday, backed it up with a final victory on Sunday, taking the Sportsman/8100 Class Overall for the weekend, and earned the 2020 BITD Class 1000 Champion.

“It's always a great feeling to finish on top and truly is a blessing. It’s not just me as a driver; it is the car; it is the way we prep; it is the team; it is the whole package. My team and I are so proud to say that we are now back to back champions! I want to thank all of my family and the whole team for their dedication and support all year long. Thank you to BITD for another amazing season and for putting on a perfect race. Thank you to our sponsors GetTheTea.com, Kevin McMullen Racing, Alumicraft, Method Race Wheels, Tensor Tires, FOX, Redline Performance, CBR Performance, Monster Seal, Maxima Racing Oils. This has been an absolutely perfect race car from Alumicraft. They built us an incredible machine and it performed at the top level the whole time to give us a superb winning record. It is now time to let someone else win some races with it. We are really looking forward to what is to come next year.” – Conner McMullen, BITD - #1020 Class 1000

“We got the win again and back-to-back points championships. It is a great way to retire from the class. Overall this car gave us 12 wins out of 18 races. We are excited to have Alumicraft build us a new spec class 1/6200 car for the 2021 season.” Kevin McMullen, McMullen Racing Team Leader.
